About Us
Global Connection Learning Center (GCLC) is a 501c3 nonprofit child care center providing full-time care for children ages eight weeks to five years. Though our center is open to the general public, we have a special focus on helping teen moms. As long as they remain in school, receive passing grades, have no disciplinary issues, and attend weekly parenting classes then teenage mothers do not have pay any fees.
Our founder and director, Nancy Sylvester, was inspired to open GCLC upon retiring after 35 years as a public school counselor. Over the years, she met a staggering number of teen moms who were unable to graduate high school, despite very much wanting to continue their education. As young mothers, they simply didn't have the time or the resources. Nancy wanted to change that.
Today, our program offers compassionate, quality care for little ones that enables their mothers to better themselves. Our child care program is staffed with highly experienced caregivers who treat each and every student as their own. Additionally, our team receives annual professional development sessions designed to help them prepare children for kindergarten.

Global Connection Learning Center believes that each child is special and capable of learning. We offer a quality child care program that recognizes each child as an individual, with individual needs. We believe in meeting the needs of every child every day. Our goals and methods are strategically aligned to provide early education and interventions by teaching to individual learning styles to prepare children to compete globally.
